Dr. Kimberly Nguyen’s path to a career in medicine began at an early age when she was treated for a rare illness by a nun who specialized in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Inspired by Sister Mung, Dr. Nguyen decided to pursue a career in medicine. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Pre-Medicine from Louisiana State University, followed by a Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Lafayette. She later received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Sonoran University of Health Sciences (SUHS) in Tempe, Arizona. While at SUHS (formerly SCNM), she developed a strong interest in both Naturopathic and Oriental medicine. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Oriental Medicine from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida.
In her clinical experience, Dr. Nguyen has treated patients with a wide range of conditions, including stress-related disorders, anxiety and depression, chronic and acute pain conditions, gastrointestinal imbalances, dermatological concerns, and infertility. She works with patients across different stages of health, from those managing acute symptoms to individuals dealing with long-standing or complex health concerns. She has also supported patients undergoing conventional cancer therapies as well as those with long-standing, unresolved health concerns. Her philosophy is to provide individualized care that supports each patient’s physical, mental, emotional, and environmental well-being. Dr. Nguyen has been in practice for over 23 years, including more than 19 years in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Nguyen is committed to educating her patients so they can make informed decisions and take an active role in their health. She specializes in Traditional Oriental and Natural medicine and, since Florida does not currently license naturopathic physicians, she provides natural health consultations at BellaVive Natural Health Clinic. (Florida has not licensed new naturopathic physicians since 1959.)
