Mesolift

As we age, our skin loses vital nutrients as a result of sun exposure, hormonal changes, poor diet and poor circulation. Mesolift is used to treat and slow the process of aging. This treatment results in improved tonicity, elasticity and appearance resulting in a clear, attractive complexion, radiant, glowing and youthful skin.

DOES MESOLIFT REQUIRE SURGERY?
No, there is no surgery and no “down-time”. You may return to your daily routine or place of work immediately.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
A series of micro-injections with the mixture is introduced to the skin.

Mesolift allows the true restructuring of the skin tissue since the formulation has been fully designed to favor the different biological reactions of the architecture of the skin by supplements:

* The vitamins provide an anti-deficiency function
* The amino acids allow better protein construction
* The minerals guarantee the ionic balance of the medium
* The coenzymes activate the biochemical reactions
* The nucleic acids stimulate synthesis

VITAMINS
Mesolift includes vitamins required for the good exogenous biological balance of the skin.  Below are some examples:

* Vitamin A acts on the flexibility of the skin by regulating the growth of epidermic cells. By acting on the keratinization process, it favors cicatrisation and partially corrects the thinning of the derma due to skin aging.
* Vitamin E is an antioxidant due to its major anti-radical properties. It maintains the integrity of tissue by fighting the formation of toxic peroxides.
* Vitamin C helps stimulate the synthesis of collagen and inhibit the synthesis of melanin.
* Vitamin D is indispensable for the synthesis of calcium by the direct action on the phospho-calcic metabolism.
* Vitamin B and its sub-groups are excellent anti-deficiency substances and are indispensable for the good biological balance of the skin.
* Vitamin K plays a major role in the regulation of the micro-circulation.

AMINO ACIDS
Amino acids are stable, water-soluble and amphoteric compounds that form the structural molecular elements in proteins. They are the basis of the tissue architecture of the skin.

MINERALS
Minerals help stimulate different cell activities and, as a result, improve  different biological metabolisms. This is particularly true for the skin.

COENZYMES
Coenzymes are non-protein organic compounds. When combined with an enzyme they improve the speed of metabolic reactions of the organism.  Transcutaneous supplements of nucleic acids stimulate the synthesis of the noble proteins of the derma and thereby restructure the entire tissue.

DOES MESOLIFT REPLACE A FACE-LIFT?
No, Mesolift improves skin tone and texture. Many of our patients report that their skin feels tighter.

WHEN DO I SEE RESULTS?
Most patients see results immediately after their first treatment but other patients can takes weeks to fully take effect.

IS MESOLIFT PERMANENT?
We continue to age. If you like the results, you will most likely continue with a few sessions per year.

WHY DO I NEED MORE THAN ONE TREATMENT?

Mesolift is usually performed in an initial series of treatments spaced 1 – 2 weeks apart. The effects of Mesolift treatment are cumulative. Your body will slowly develop collagen and elastin over time.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS?
There is a very small chance of bruising which can easily be covered. Any potential bruising is minimized using our technique.

WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING?

Skin Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or Facial Mesotherapy, using a skin needle roller is designed for and to provide scientifically proven results for the treatment and management of such conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Anti-Aging & Wrinkles

  • Pigmentation & Sun Damage

  • Acne, Pimples, Blackheads

  • Scarring

  • Enlarged Pores & Seborrhoea

  • Stretch Marks

  • Hair Loss & Thinning Hair

HOW DOES SKIN NEEDLING WORK?

Skin Needling and Facial Mesotherapy is most easily performed using a Skin Roller. The Skin Roller causes multiple tiny pin point puncture wounds to the dermis.

This dermal damage induces the release of growth factors that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. New collagen production is the object of ALL skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments.

Skin Needling creates dermal damage without the removal of the healthy epidermis, which happens with other resurfacing techniques.

Because the epidermis is left intact, the healing period is rapid. The skin does not risk permanent structural damage, sun sensitivity, skin color loss or hyper-pigmentation.

Micro-needling or skin needling is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy with the intends to smooth wrinkles, improve depressed acne scars as well as reducing the appearance of stretch marks. It's quickly growing in popularity and is one of the most successful of skin treatments available. It is a process that can be carried out clinically as well as in the home. As the process gains awareness it is important to understand what micro-needling as well as consider whether it is suitable for you.

The process for micro-needling is carried out with a roller made up of many miniature needles. The needles pierce the upper layers of skin up to 2 millimetres (depending on the needle used). This process has two major benefits. It successfully stimulates collagen formation as well as providing a clear topical channel for creams and gels to be effectively absorbed through the top most layer (epidermis) of skin. Micro-Needling creates a very minor trauma which lasts for a short period of time and does not result in bruising or swelling in the treated area.

The small puncture wound stimulates collagen production in the dermis layer as breaks some of the blood vessels directly below the surface of the skin. As the blood clots, it creates the right environment for collagen and elastin formation. It is these vital ingredients which assists in the skin appearing rejuvenated.

Although this sounds drastic, the process happens on a microscopic level and the outward appearance of trauma is negligible. Clinical use of skin needling involves the use of numbing agents on the skin, so that the treatment can be carried vigorously with minimal discomfort. The Skin Needle Roller is intended for extended use at home. It should be used far more gently over a longer period of time. In this way, it becomes part of your daily routine and produces the same great results.

Micro-needling is a great choice for people who haven't had success with any other type of treatment, for those who would prefer tackling their skin issues in the privacy of the home. In addition, the use of skin creams or oil products are greatly boosted by using a Skin Roller as the absorption rate of the skin is raised considerably through the channels which are created by skin needling through the epidermis.

It has similar results to Laser, Chemical Peels and Dermabrasion but is far less invasive, which translates to a far lower risk of complications and quick recovery time. Improvement in the appearance of scars and lines is achieved through a series of Skin Needling treatments, spaced 2-3 months apart.

WHAT AREAS OF THE SKIN CAN BE TREATED?
Skin Needling can treat sensitive areas that other treatments have to avoid, such as below the eyes, the neck and the back of hands.

HEALING - RECOVERY TIME?
For deeper in office treatments, the skin is red and swollen for one to two days with a light grazing over the treated area appearing on day two. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities within 48 hours of treatment.

Multiple treatments are usually necessary to achieve significant improvement in the appearance and depth of lines and scars. Treatment effects are cumulative and will usually be seen within 6-8 weeks of each treatment.

In comparison to prolonged recovery time from laser resurfacing and chemical peels, the short recovery following Skin Needling makes it an excellent alternative method of improving lines and scars.
